AboutA personal project built on real experience

I've spent years working hands-on in the personal electric vehicle industry, helping manage and build out PEV.works and AlienRides.com. During that time I worked directly with electric unicycles, scooters, e-bikes, high-powered PEVs, batteries, chargers, repairs, parts, and customer support.

Electric Moto Garage is an independent technical workshop where I document electric-moto and PEV diagnostics, repair techniques, battery projects, parts research, fabrication, custom builds, and the products that grow out of that work. It is not currently operating as a repair shop, taking repair clients, or offering customer battery drop-off, pickup, or delivery. The first planned product is Surron Battery Reviver, coming mid-September 2026.

Buy a BikeElectric motorcycles, imported and in stock

Separately from the technical project above, I also import and sell electric motorcycles, mopeds, and dirt bikes directly to riders in San Francisco through KevMoto — new containers land roughly every month, priced close to cost, full manufacturer warranty. This is the commercial side; Electric Moto Garage stays the technical documentation project.

Technical TopicsDiagnostics, repair & upgrades

The project covers a broad range of electric machines—not just full-size motorcycles—with technical notes and examples involving batteries, controllers, motors, wiring, chassis components, and wheels.

E-Moto Repair

Project documentation involving Sur-Ron, Talaria, E Ride Pro and other electric motorcycles: maintenance, brake and suspension upgrades, controller and motor work, performance configuration, and custom builds.

E-Bikes, Scooters & EUCs

Technical notes on e-bikes, electric scooters, and electric unicycles: tires, tubes, tubeless setup, brakes, bearings, electrical diagnosis, and general maintenance.

Electrical & Mechanical Diagnostics

Examples of electrical and mechanical diagnostic methods for intermittent problems, wiring and connector faults, controllers, motors, throttles, displays, and sensors.

Custom Builds & Upgrades

Personal experiments with performance configuration, modified and high-powered machines, fabrication, and system integration beyond stock setups.

Battery ProjectsDiagnostics, design & repair research

Technical documentation covering lithium-ion battery diagnostics, BMS diagnosis and replacement, custom battery design and construction, cell-group diagnosis, connector and charge-port repair, and charger compatibility and integration. The Sur-Ron connector example below is a documented project, not a current service offer.

Sur-Ron Light Bee: OEM Supra Connector → QS8 Upgrade

A common failure on the 2018–2023 Sur-Ron Light Bee is an OEM "Supra" battery connector with heat-damaged brass pins. This project documents removing the epoxied OEM connector, desoldering the damaged terminals, fitting a QS8 connector, and replacing the connector-to-controller wiring with fresh 8AWG. It is presented for technical documentation only, not as a repair offer or a recommendation to perform high-voltage battery work without appropriate training and safety controls.

The documented example took about 1.25 hours. Pricing has been removed because Electric Moto Garage is not currently quoting or accepting paid client work. Matching spare batteries and harness compatibility are additional technical considerations for this type of modification.

Lithium-ion batteries can present fire, shock, and toxic-exposure hazards. Not every damaged pack can or should be repaired; some are unsafe, uneconomical, physically damaged, or unsuitable for rebuilding. This site documents personal projects and is not currently accepting batteries for evaluation, repair, or rebuilding.

DocumentationHow the projects are documented

Photos, notes, and technical write-ups from personal learning and testing, used to document builds and repair techniques. This is not a retail location, service facility, or repair business — no repair work, client or otherwise, is performed here or at any residential address.

Electric Moto Garage project documentation

Parts ResearchComponents & compatibility notes

This project may document parts, chargers, and accessories for electric motorcycles, e-bikes, scooters, and EUCs—including Sur-Ron, Talaria, and E Ride Pro components, batteries, controllers, motors, displays, wiring, brakes, tires, and safety equipment.

Electric Moto Garage is not currently selling general replacement parts. Surron Battery Reviver is the first planned Electric Moto Garage product and is listed for availability updates only until launch.

FAQCommon questions

What kinds of vehicles does the project cover?

Technical projects may involve Sur-Ron and Talaria electric motorcycles, E Ride Pro, other electric motorcycles, e-bikes, electric scooters, electric unicycles, and custom or modified personal electric vehicles.

Can I hire Electric Moto Garage to repair my battery?

No. Electric Moto Garage has stopped taking on any repair work — no batteries are being accepted for diagnosis, repair, or rebuilding. Any repair consultation previously offered was appointment-only and remote, never on-site or in-person. The battery material on this site documents personal technical projects.

Does the site cover modified or high-powered machines?

Yes. Modified and high-performance PEVs are a technical focus of the project, including unusual machines that conventional shops may not discuss.

Do you sell products or ship parts?

Surron Battery Reviver is planned for a mid-September 2026 launch. There are no preorders and no payment is being accepted before availability. Electric Moto Garage is not currently selling general replacement parts.

Garage StatusProduct development, not repair intake

Electric Moto Garage is developing Surron Battery Reviver and continuing its technical documentation work. I have stopped taking on repair work and am not accepting customer batteries, offering drop-off, pickup, delivery, or on-site service.

Created in the San Francisco Bay Area. No public shop, customer drop-off, pickup, or delivery service is currently offered.
