Terms of service
Plain-language terms for buying and using Electric Moto Garage products. Short version: you install and use our products at your own risk, and we are not responsible for damage to your vehicle.
Who we are
Electric Moto Garage (“EMG”, “we”, “us”) is an independent project of Kevin Graehl in San Francisco, California. We make the BeeDash app and the BeeLatch, Bee Charger and Bee Battery Reviver hardware. We are not a repair shop and do not take repair work. Contact us: text 415.341.2281 or email kevingraehl@gmail.com.
We are independent and are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Sur-Ron / Qiulong Technology, Plan Bee, Fetch Light, Stark Future or any other vehicle maker. Those names, and “Ultra Bee”, “Hyper Bee”, “Light Bee” and “Light Bee 2”, belong to their owners and are used only to describe which bikes our products are made to work with.
Using this site and buying from us
By using this website, ordering a product or using the BeeDash app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not order or use our products. You must be at least 18 (or have a parent or guardian place the order).
Orders, prices and payment
Orders are paid through PayPal in US dollars. Shipping is $10 for ground or $15 for USPS Priority (air) per order, added at checkout (or to your preorder balance); prices exclude any sales tax, which we confirm with you by email. If you would rather collect your order in person in San Francisco, choose any shipping option and tell us — we refund the shipping charge. We may cancel and refund an order if a price or description was posted in error, if a product is unavailable, or if we cannot ship to your location.
Preorders. A preorder deposit reserves your unit. When your unit is ready, we email you and a balance payment button appears under the product in our shop (the balance plus shipping); you have 14 days to pay it. If the balance is not paid in time we may cancel the order and refund your deposit. You can cancel a preorder for a full deposit refund any time before it ships (see the refund policy).
Lead times and shipping
Chargers are made to order and have an estimated lead time of 1–2 weeks. BeeLatch has a target ship date of October 18, 2026. All dates and lead times are estimates, not guarantees, and can change with parts availability, testing and shipping carriers. If we cannot meet an estimate by a wide margin, you may cancel for a full refund.
Installing and using our products is at your own risk
Electric vehicles, batteries and chargers involve real hazards, including electric shock, fire and injury. You are responsible for deciding whether a product suits your vehicle, for installing and using it correctly, and for following the instructions, warnings and guides we provide. If you are not comfortable working on your vehicle’s wiring or battery, have a qualified person do it. Never leave a charging battery unattended, never charge a damaged or swollen battery, and never cut or splice a vehicle harness.
Our products are independently designed and built. Unless a product page says so, do not assume a product carries any safety certification or listing from a standards organization. Modifying your vehicle, replacing its original parts (for example the T-Box) or using a non-factory charger may affect the vehicle maker’s warranty and its connected features. We make no promise about how a maker will treat that, and that is your decision and responsibility.
Recording video and audio
BeeDash can record video and, if you choose, audio from your phone during a ride. You are responsible for using a secure mount, for not operating your phone while riding, and for following the laws where you ride and where you share the recording — including laws about recording other people’s voices and images. Recordings stay on your phone until you share them. We are not responsible for the content you record or how you use it.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Electric Moto Garage, Kevin Graehl and anyone who works with us are not liable for any damage to your vehicle, battery, controller, charger, accessories, property or data, for loss of a manufacturer’s warranty, or for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, that arises from installing or using our products, our app or our website — even if we were told such damage was possible.
Our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the price you paid for that product. Some places do not allow certain limits or exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited, or liability for death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
No other promises
Except for the rights described in the refund policy and any rights the law gives you that cannot be waived, our products, app and website are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that they will work with every vehicle model, model year or firmware version, that readings will be complete or accurate, or that they will run without interruption.
The BeeDash app
BeeDash is an informational tool. Some values it shows are decoded from observed data and labelled provisional; they can be wrong. Do not rely on BeeDash as a safety device or to decide whether a battery or vehicle is safe to ride or charge. Do not use your phone while riding, and follow your local laws. The app and BeeLatch are read-only toward your vehicle: they do not send commands to it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order. Last updated October 11, 2026.
