Plain-language privacy policy for the BeeDash app, BeeLatch and this website. Short version: your rides stay on your phone, there is no account and there are no ads.
The short version
BeeDash does not need an account and we do not sell your data or show ads. Your rides, location, camera and microphone recordings and settings stay on your phone. The few things that leave your phone are listed below.
What the BeeDash app does with your data
Location is used only while the app is open, to draw your route and measure distance and speed. It is stored on your phone with the ride. Camera and microphone are used only when you choose to record video or audio with a ride; recordings are saved on your phone. Bluetooth and local network (Wi-Fi) are used to find and talk to your BeeLatch on your own network. Bike and battery data read from BeeLatch is shown in the app and saved with your rides on your phone.
You can delete any ride (and its video) in the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes its data from your phone.
What leaves your phone
Maps. When the map is shown, the app requests map tiles from Stadia Maps, which receives your device’s IP address and the map area being viewed. See Stadia Maps’ privacy policy. App stores. Apple and Google process downloads and any crash information under their own policies. GPS rides you export or share go wherever you send them.
We are building optional cloud ride history. Before it launches we will update this page to say exactly what is stored, where, and how to delete it; it will not be turned on without your consent.
This website and our shop
If you join a notify list we store your email address and the product you asked about, only to tell you about that product. Orders are paid through PayPal: PayPal handles your payment details and we receive your name, email, shipping address and what you bought so we can fulfil the order. Our website host (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs. We do not use advertising trackers.
Your choices
To remove your email from a notify list, delete your data from an order we hold, or ask any privacy question, text 415.341.2281 or email kevingraehl@gmail.com. Delete rides and recordings inside the app yourself, any time.
Children
BeeDash and our products are not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and the date at the top will change. Last updated October 11, 2026.
