I have been building lithium-ion batteries since 2002, starting in college. About 20 years ago I built what I believe was the first electric paraglider, back when motor and controller technology was not quite ready for it. That is a long time of learning what makes a pack work, and what makes one fail.

Consultation
We talk through what you are building: voltage, capacity, continuous and peak current, size and weight limits, mounting and environment. In person around the Bay Area, or on Zoom.
Design
I propose cell choice, series and parallel layout, BMS, fusing and enclosure approach, and tell you the trade-offs plainly.
Quote
You get a quote for the build. Pricing depends on the project; there is no price list.
Build and test
I build the pack and test it before it leaves.
Delivery
Pickup or delivery in the Bay Area, or shipping where regulations allow. Lithium batteries are regulated goods.

Why not use an overseas battery builder?
Overseas builders are often cheaper, and they can be a good choice for standard packs. I focus on complex shapes and projects where a direct conversation with the builder matters.

It depends on the project. I quote each build after a consultation.
